WHAT IS THCa?

THCa, formally known as tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, is a naturally occurring compound in cannabis plants. It serves as the precursor to THC, or its acidic form. It also mandated that THC products that contain less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC are considered a hemp product and thus legal. Since THCa flower is low in THC, it is technically considered a hemp product. Although it’s legal on a federal level, THCa is subject to regulations and restrictions in some states.
